Playground Design

You may be asking yourself how will GINN Playground be different from other playgrounds. The Tree house design of the playground which you cannot readily see in the above conceptual drawing will definitely give this play structure a different look and feel allowing it to fit in with the natural setting. Adding a “real” rock boulder which kids can climb on and then into the tree house will add to the overall effect. In addition there is the red Spidernet which allows kids to climb up and across the tree house structure using their upper body strength. As you can see there is a path surrounding the structure which kids can use to ride their tricycles. We have also added back our beloved Tire Swing, Super Scoop diggers for the Sand Box, a Talk Tube (kids can “call” their friends in the tree house), Wooden Building Blocks kids can use to create all types of structures, and of course last but not least 3 giant outdoor musical instruments (a Metallophone, (check out http://www.soundplay.com to hear their sounds) and you have one unique playground that kids for 20+ years will have an opportunity to enjoy. We hope you are as inspired as we are about the potential that is available down at the playground at Ginn Field.    This conceptual design does include the main features 160 survey respondents most wanted in a redesigned playground.

These features include:

- New 2 to 5 year old and 5 to 12 year “Tree House” play structures

- Multiple Swing Structures – including our beloved tire swing

- A fully fenced in playground

- A distinct separation between the 2 to 5 year old playstructure and the 5 to 12 year old play structure

The new playground will also include:

- Outdoor musical instruments (Metallophone

- Real Looking Climbing Boulder

- “Spidernet”

- Talking Tube for kids to “call” their friends inside the Tree House

- Accessible Sand Digger

We hope you are as excited as we are over the potential of a new playground at Ginn Field.  We appreciate your feedback. Please contact us at beginnagain@gmail.com if you have any questions.   We can BeGINN Again!
