Status of the Playground at Ginn Field

At long last there is a new status to report about the status of the playground at Ginn Field. As many of you know we reached our fundraising goal last June and provided a check to the town of Winchester to build a new playground at Ginn Field. So the hard part is over. We are now just waiting for the town to complete the Aberjona River Widening Project. As you may have noticed there are currently giant piles of dirt on the site of the old playground. The river widening project has encountered some problems during the construction phase however the town still anticipates the playground will be in place sometime in June. However like any construction project, this timing could be altered by unforeseen circumstances experienced by the Aberjona River Widening Project. As soon as we have more information from the town, we will post it on this site. We plan to have an opening party as soon as we have a firm completion date.
